First, I want to announce a give-away I'm going to start giving away every year at the end of the year: wedding customer of the year award. This award will be to show appreciation to a couple who really went above and beyond their role as a customer to make us feel welcome, were fantastic to work with, and really went out of their way to make sure we could do the best job possible. I will be announcing the 2011 winner in December. The winning couple will receive a free session package (value of $399)- they can pick between a trash the dress/bridal (portrait session with you in your wedding dress and your groom dressed up- but more relaxed than the wedding day portraits), a couple's session, or a maternity session if you're already working on babies! :)
Now, to Matt and Hailey's day:
The one picture I really wish I could've got from this wedding would be the of me when a cute little Asian couple handed me their iphone (or some kind of smart phone- honestly I wouldn't know an iphone if it knocked me in the head) with great confidence and wanted me to use it to take a picture of them with the bride and groom. I know my way around a real camera...but an iphone? It's funny to me that people might think that somehow translates over. They had to show me where the button was to take the picture...and I'm pretty sure the picture was pretty bad. I'm pretty tech savvy (I mean hey, I have a blog, facebook, I update my own website, I check my e-mail frequently...but iphones? I draw the line there. If I had one, my family would never get to talk to me uninterrupted. I'm too type-A to own one. It would be impossible to not check my email every two minutes!) Anyway, I feel bad if their picture didn't turn out because of my lack of iphone skills.

Congrats Matt and Hailey on your big day!
Story behind the flower girls. The littler one was too shy to go down the aisle, so her older sister was trying to coax her to come down. Exhasperated, she rolled her eyes and announced to the crowd that her sister was too shy to come down the aisle. Gotta love kids, they keep you on your toes! Don't you love Hailey's Converse she had on under her dress?

Ange I haven't been able to see the pictures on your last two blog posts. It just says "photobucket" over and over again. . .
ReplyDeleteThat's weird, I'm wondering if it's your internet? Trav tried it on his comp at work with no problems and I've had people compliment them so I know they saw them. Hopefully this isn't happening to other people because that would be a bummer. Have you tried just letting the page sit so it can load?
