Awww, that favorite time of year....when I have to get to take our own family portraits. It's been a couple years since we last took a family portrait...how sad is that- I do this for a living and we barely ever do our own portraits? Listen, I know how much work it is to photograph a family session, but I often forget all the work that goes into the other side of the camera- getting said family looking nice all at once and smiling nicely for these pictures as well. Also, nothing stifles my creativity more than having to use a tripod and a timer...but thank goodness we got some good ones and I know I'll cherish them for years to come.

Ryan & Jacque + kiddos {Lewiston, ID Family portraits}

You've seen these people many a time on my blog. This family is one of my most favorite families in all the world, and it's so fun to watch it expand. Ryan and Jacque make adorable kids as you can see, their beautiful little girl, and their roly-poly "little" guy who never seems to run out of smiles. And I have to say, Jacque- motherhood looks so beautiful on you. Love you guys.

Molly & Shawn {Maternity/family Spokane, WA photography}

Yesterday we headed to Spokane to spend the night at my cousin, Molly's house. She and Shawn have moved from Oregon and relocated into the beautiful foothills of a gorgeous area of Spokane. I thought it would be fun to take the occasion to shoot some maternity/family portraits as they are expecting baby #2 in the fall. I'm so excited to meet this little one, he is welcomed into a wonderful family. He has a sister who is well prepared to help mother him, some really great parents who will love him to bits, and who love each other well.

Movius family {Genesee, ID Family portraits}

I love this family a lot. They also happen to share the same last name as me, so that makes them awesome too. This is my husband (Trav's) brother and his wife and their kids. It was a lot of fun playing in the beautiful field by their house in the Genesee area this evening.
