"B" Family and Aiden {family, Zayden's Promise)

Here's a taste of some of the things I've been working on lately. First, this is Aiden. Aiden has a rare, terminal, genetic disease called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD). Aiden progressed normally but has never walked independently. He now has lost all of his skills and functions like that of a one month old baby. His parents contacted me about pictures- through a program I started called Zayden's Promise, I offer free portraits to terminally ill children.

I've had the worst luck scheduling this family with weather though- seems like we've had a ton of rain on every day they've been scheduled- I was hoping 3rd time would be the charm, but as soon as we started shooting the clouds rolled in and it started thundering and lighting not very far away, so we had to wrap it up. Here's a couple of my favorites:

The twin's aunt thought it would be precious to do some pictures of the girls

with a nest and a bunch of real bird eggs she had. If you have a 2 year old, 

you can probably imagine what these 2 year olds did next. Yep. 

Crunch, crunch, crunch. Oops! :)

Baby "A"

I love gardening, and my garden has loved all this rain. So when Miss A's mom suggested that

we do some vintage looks to our session, I thought my garden would give a "secret garden" kind

of a look to the whole thing.  My garden reminds me of Oregon right now. All that rain makes

for a lot of green!

Facebook question

I've had some people ask how to become a fan on facebook. You now click the "like" button at the top and that makes you a fan. Kind of confusing, I agree.

Todd & Erica {the day}

This cute little guy sat right in the mud. The groom picked him up and got his shirt all muddy!

Thank goodness for wet wipes- he cleaned up just fine.

Totally cute though! :)

Trav and I decided this wedding was the most fun we've ever seen
at a wedding. If we could re-do our wedding, we'd have Todd &
Erica's wedding for our own. They had the gorgeous venue, and all
kinds of fun, like yard croquet and bocce:

This firepit is a new feature at the Red Barn. How cool is that? They had
s'mores and everything!
Todd & Erica left their reception to sparklers. Unfortunately, they left much later
than they had scheduled us for so we didn't get a picture, but I'm sure it was really neat!
