"P" family

First, a business note:  Only a few sessions left before I shut down for maternity leave (Dec 1st). Make sure and book your session ASAP if you're wanting senior or family portraits before the spring. 50% of your package total is due as a non-refundable deposit upon booking.

Now, onto one of my recent favorite sessions (actually took it tonight and loved it so much I had to post right away). How this family was created is a pretty cool story. Long story short, Kristin and Scott were married and found out they weren't able to have kids. It broke their hearts until they realized there were two kids they loved right in front of them: Erica and Leon. Kristin's grandparents were taking care of them but getting too elderly to continue, and Kristin had already been a big part of their lives, so it just made sense to make them a permanent part of their family. I thought it would be neat to put this chalkboard in the picture. Because thanks to the beauty of adoption, their family is now complete:

This seems like a storybook finish (And they lived happily ever after...):

Chad & Leah {married!}

Chad and Leah were married this afternoon (and we were so glad for the gorgeous weather!)
I'm going to post this all into one big post since I have a busy, busy week this week. Enjoy!

Oh! And I actually kept track of who shot what this time, so Trav (my husband and second photographer)will actually get some credit this time! :)

Trav shot this one:

Baby "L" {infant session}

First a business note:

Due to the fact that I don't have many session openings left between now and when I take my maternity leave (Dec 1st), I am now only accepting senior special bookings and family special bookings (unless you are one of my bridal clients that need engagements).

Little "L", you are the most cooperative baby I've ever worked with! This little girl was happy to do just about anything for me! Okay, maybe it was more for her mom and dad, but I'll take what I can get! Hardly a tear from this little one:

Spot On Yogurt

So, all I can say about this post is: YUM. I love Spot on Yogurt! If you are in the valley and you haven't been there, you MUST. It's a self-serve yogurt shop that lets you choose your yogurt, and then add whatever toppings you like. Did I mention I was pregnant? Yes, my little pregnant heart has been craving fall flavors so I'm super excited for those to be in soon. Because I've been wanting pumpkin yogurt since June. Yep, I know, that's a little early for pumpkin, but who cares?
Oh, and Karolen, the owner of Spot On, is a super sweet gal too, so if nothing else, go in to meet her! :)
